Located next to the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers, The Dahlia Garden in Golden Gate Park often features beauties like this Happier dahlia.

The Dahlia Garden in Golden Gate Park. A small oasis that many people seek out when they visit San Francisco. I've been surprised by how many locals do not even know it exists. The dahlia is the official flower of San Francisco. The pink dahlias are Carmen Bunky dahlias and are among the most beautiful at the garden when I photographed them. The best time to see the dahlias is July through the end of September.
